Professor KOKOU Kouami is Titular Professor in Forest Ecology and Natural Resource Management at the Faculty of Sciences at the Universities of Lomé and Kara. He was instructor at the School of Water and Forests of Tové, TOGO.
He is a member of Scientific and Academic Council (PSC) of the University Lome, Head of the Unit for Pedagogical Information (CIP) of the Faculty of Science of the University of Lome, Togo’s head of delegation for the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), National Coordinator Togo National Group for Sustainable Forest Management, a member of Board of Directors of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) from 2007 to 2010 representing the environmental chamber on behalf of the South. He was associate professor at the ENGREF Montpellier and Kourou between 1990 and 2004.
Professor Kokou has 20 years of development research career development of forests and protected areas, botany, biodiversity management, forest ecology, forest inventory and environmental impact studies. He has particular experience in studies in
different protected areas in Africa (Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Chad, Togo).
